We had the exciting opportunity to work with Google on a month-long pop-up retail and event space in East London. ‘Hotel Mundial’ showed every single World Cup game, and we provided the team of football enthusiasts who made it happen.
To create a playful and memorable introduction to Google Home Mini and Chromecast in line with the excitement of the World Cup, highlighting the power and value of having Google devices in the home.
Hosted at the iconic Old Truman Brewery in Brick Lane, ‘Hotel Mundial’ set itself out as heaven for football fans – a cool and discerning place to watch the game and celebrate love for the sport.
A consistent core team were trained on how to demo the Google devices. And as genuine football fans they were able to have authentic conversations with customers, encouraging them to take part in the football quiz, whilst highlighting features of the devices.
The quiz played on the Google devices put fans’ knowledge to the test. Players with a passion for tech and football engaged with our staff and these genuine conversations led to a noticeable effect on sales.
“It’s a space for football fans, designed by football fans, staffed by football fans.”
